I thought it amusing that according to Mr. Schuler, a CBS war corespondent "develop cold feet" between Pearl and Midway and left the recording equipment with the crew-He missed his scoop in history for sure, but i can't help but question myself whether I would have made the same decision as the corespondent given the circumstances! The recording are not bad and you can make out ambient sounds of equipment and even the accents of the crew.
