7,000 is a relatively small number. The argument by that author is that 7,000 is severely underreported and it is actually 50,000 to 70,000.
I've also seen someone assert that covid was phase 1 of a huge gain of function experiment and vaccines are phase 2 because both methods introduce spike proteins into the human body. I don't know what to believe about that assertion, but nowadays, nothing should be taken at face value or discounted out of hand.
