It's a question of defining "hypersensitivity". If it's a movie made for adults and is rated 'R' (American rating for adults only), then you expect violence, sex and language. If it has been edited for commercial television, then I can understand they have standards that include not showing certain things to very young children.
Did the censoring you're complaining about appear in the movie as seen in the theater? Maybe the director had something in mind. I don't know. It was just your statement about preferring authenticity made me wonder what your limits might be, or if it only applied to what you wanted to see, and not somebody else's standard.
