I'm ducking relentless air harassment while looking for targets in my patrol zone SWE of Cape Town (GR89) after a long trip from Brest. Along the way, I sank three destroyers and an escort carrier in one encounter. I got the usual response to my patrol report after the action: "Keep up the good work!" The same I get for sinking unescorted merchant ships. Sigh. Ship sightings have been rare, but I got what I could and arrived here with six fish left: three in the bow, two in the stern, and one in the stern reserve.
