Nicht mehr 'yes sir,und vieles mehr Jawohl...! only problem now is figuring out 'passing thermal layer' .... Google translates to 'durchlaufende thermische Schicht...'
Thanks again Brig..
Get yourself Audacity (unless you've got a similar app on your computer), and get the recording side set-up to record a microphone. Even a cheap, little 1/8" plugged mic will do, since you're going to make a recording that will sound like it came across the internal comm device in a sub (squackbox). Record your audio line "durchlaufende thermische schicht" (or whatever) and save it as "Submarine_passing_thermal_layer_INT.wav" at 705kbps (44.1kHz Mono) 16-bit Windows wave file. You could either make a mod for JSGME (safest way), for like "ThermalLayer \ Data \ Sound \ Submarine_passing_thermal_layer_INT.wav" and activate it with JSGME, or backup the original file first, and then just copy the new one you made into the same location...

Edit: Forgot to mention, I don't think the German boats had anything like the US Fleet Boat's bathythermograph, and had to rely upon a thermometer against the side of the boat... I might be wrong there, but I do know that the Japanese boats didn't even have that...
