Looks like the roundels have the Star with a red circle in the middle. That was eliminated before TBFs ever saw combat (for fear of what happened in this thread, misidentification with japanese aircraft  ) |
a zoom on the above picture. it was an ATB torpedo plane. saw it a day out of davao on my return trip, I planned to scout the northern coast of Australia..
I knew it was an enemy cause my crew fired at the plane ! and the plane dropped bombs at us.
Anyone got a better 3d model of an Avenger ? with the rear belly gun ?
we should make a new plane, IJN for instance, and set up a US 3d model to simulate "friendly fire" ?
