Having a ball with mates playing this one. As long as we don't drink too much, we tend to do well. Many thanks to the devs for bringing this sim out.
I haven't found too many details on the dedicated server. So I thought I throw in a few suggestions.
Im hoping you can run the war in real time or 2x/4x 8x etc. Real time might be a stretch but why not. Players opting to jump into missions in the various areas just as you do now. Maybe a players sub has to stay in that area until they opt to return to base or thier overall patrol tonnage is achieved, where depending on thier scores from missions done, they can repair and customise/upgrade thier boat. Then go out again, maybe choose a different area. All the while the dedicated server keep their stats and how their mission successes might affecting allied shipping and the war overall. I know we cant win the war just in a submarine, but seeing the affect would be cool. All the while we get access to new UBoat designs as we go along depending on our rank which goes up with tonnage sunk. Noob captains have to start with lowest class of uboat etc.
While you are at it and you have some spare time, bring in a DD for humans to control. Not much to ask for.
Anyways just a few ideas that would make my life complete.
