I heard that, too.. everywhere. The last Leyland-built 'Spitfire' type (1500) was awarded the "Silver Lemon" for worst building quality and reliability by the german ADAC
. I absolutely disliked those boring german cars of the time, let alone the VW "Beetle" with its 1930ies "design", cheap valve whistling sound (like Porsche my a$$) and KdF history lol.
The Ford you mentioned looks nice with the sleek lines, a bit like the Rover 75.
We are living in a small village in the woods, so you have to be mobile here.. if we move to a city at some point we will probably also get rid of our cars.
