^Well, the authorities will write a "lessons learned" book, but the consequences are costly and memories will fade ever so slightly.
In Germany a few months ago a study was published by the Bertelsmann foundation (a neoliberal think tank) demanding reduction of the number of hospitals, the number of beds in each hospital, and the number of beds equipped for intensive care. Had this study been around two years earlier, we would see different figures in the national body count, that's for sure.
Politics usually addresses short term memory and this won't change after Corona.
