Stock NYGM without Hsie or Stiebler patch, the slow sinking is present.
Even without the silent running on, U-Boat is sinking.
In fact, it’s not a problem at all!...it’s realism.

In SH3 1.4B there was no problem with going at less than 2 kts, subs had neutral buoyancy, but I think it was altered by GWX and probably by NYGM too. Those are my 2 cents...

This slow sinking feature is only in NYGM, not in GWX or other mega mod.
Even GWX with Stiebler patch and the silent running fix doesn’t make the sub slowly sinking at periscope depth.
Maybe ANVAR Fabulous SH3 knowledge knows something about?
