Yeah! I totally agree with the UVII first rank among all the submarines, for me too the UVII is not only a legend,but also the most brilliant submarine of the 2nd ww, who fought against the 2 best navys of the world in the toughest battlefield of North Atlantic. The cost/efficiency rate of the typeVII is still unreached as the allies had to make a huge efforts to counter the thrill, thus postponing their land projects (USA originally wanted to launch operation Sledgehammer in 1942, 1943 at the latest).
Anyway i may not be objective as i am a UVII fan, and i greatly respect the UIX fans who could reply that compared to their number the IXs had the best individual rate of sinking. And thanks to the IX for bringing back wonderful and sunny pictures from their mission in South Atlantic and Indian sea we can enjoy when they go back to France, as all we can bring back from our patrols in North Atlantic are dead bodies, torn hull and heavy rain pictures.
