About a year ago (gheez, that long allready) OLC gave me the formula to connect the 'optische lange' and distance and mastheight. Hopefully I still have it in my private mailbox but in any case I don't remember which particular OLC Gui version it belongs to (appears to be OLC GUI v1.1). The 'optische lange'-marks have a tan or arctan-curve in it which makes it go out of sync with the other/outer (log)scales.


Edit: Sorry, no OLC messages in my box anymore. You may need to ask him personally for the formula. Or maybe it's in one of my messages in that huge OLC Gui thread.

EDIT #2: Found it:

scopemark_above_90degree=8*arctan(basis/ (range*2)), (in 1.5x magnification) where basis en range are both meters.

"basis" is the same as the length and (real)mastheight scale.
