Hey there are Wings over Vietnam, Wings over Europe and Wings over Israel. They are all imo excellent games.

There is also Steel Beast Pro PE and Lock On, Falcon 4 allied forces.

It's not that rare to find contemporary military games but most of them are developed by small developers. The wings over series are a one man development team.

Oh almost forgot Combat mission shock force. It's one of my favorite.
