You seem to have some strange geometry/shadowing on some parts of your ships. For example on this Italian battleship you can see some strange highlights alongside the edge where the top deck meets the side of the ship (right above the last row of windows). A similar affect (dark areas) is visible on the red/white stripe part of the ship (view from the top). It gives a false impression that those sections of the ship have a round edge when in fact those edges are sharp. Do you know what I mean?
I am a 3D modeller myself, I use 3D Max Studio. I recognize such visible error when incorrect Smoothing Groups are applied to a model. But I don't know if this is the case for SH3 modelling as well. Maybe some other guys like Privateer, Ref or Iambecomelife could give their feedback because I don't see this error on their ships. I would really love to see this error fixed on your models.
Sorry, English is not my native language, so I hope I made myself clear and not too offensive. This is intended as a constructive criticism.

I do know the answer.
Some parts need to be detached.
If you have a box?
All sides need to be detached for the SH3 Engine.
Every part we create needs to follow this rule.
Or you get strange smoothing and graphic weirdness.
