Must admit I hadn't looked at the SH3 Commander files. Right now, after much experimentation, I've found the earliest I can successfully transfer to the 33rd at Flensburg is July 2nd 1944.
The problem is that the Type XXI isn't available to choose as my boat. All the others are there, VIIC/41, IXC, IXD2...but not the XXI.
If I can bring the availability date forward, and edit the commissioning time, I'll be there!

EDIT: Have been into C:\Program Files\SH3 Commander\Cfg\u-boat availability.txt and edited the following from

No effect whatsoever...the Type XXI still isn't available.
