I like ST, too. ST 2-4, 6, 8, 9 are very nice movies, especially no. 9 I like for it's many slow, calm scenes - it is the most underestimated of the six, 2-4 are a nice trilogy, and 6 and 8 are simply the best Star Trek has ever come to. The later seasons of TNG also had quite some attractiveness, as had DS9 once it got into full swing after the first one or two seasons, i felt really like coming home to family when watching DS9's latest episode, and again some great character inventions there. But then the ST-idea was over-spent with Voyager (not feeling Trekkish anymore), and Enterprise really was the funeral of it all - not any Trekkie-feeling at all.
Some episodes from TNG and DS9 that I liked, I have recorded and keep them since 15 years or so. The movies (as listed above) anyway. And Spock? Spock is cool! One of the most fascinating and original film characters ever invented in film business, even more so in his relation to Kirk. As Captains, i liked Picard and Sisko better - both are more believable, and serious. Both also were played by way better actors. As Kirk, Shatner was fine. But as an actor beyond that role, Shatner is awful. I also do not liked his behavior when appearing in private on TV, in shows or interviews.
