Frame, I've been luckier than you. I have received 3 letteres from my congressman now, and I find it rather humoring, since he's a dem, and I'm a constitutionalist. I've even participated in 3 "town meetings that were held over the phone, and been to one where we can talk face to face. I even asked some hard questions, and he hasn't once swept me under the rug. I think he actually likes someone who voices themselves in an intellegent manner and asks things like, ok Congressman, I can understand wanting to help the people panhandling on the corner, but where is the money and resources to do this supposed to come from? Higher taxes? I can't afford anymore myself, nor can the good people here in this room right now I would bet. Businesses can't afford it, as there are more and more stores closing up shop and more and more going out of business sales are being posted in the papers, and people on corners waving signs for businesses going under, so the tax base there is dwindling. Congressman, we need to build business here or the problem of people begging on corners is only going to increase. Instead of trying to put a bandaide on the wound, to cover it up, let's try to figure out a solution to this problem, like getting folks back to work, at decent jobs, and let's stop taxing the small businesses already to the point that they go under from it. We now have in this country the highest tax rate in the world on small business, and if we plan on people going back to work, the small business owner needs to make enough to cover everything, I know, I "was" one of them. But if taxes and wage matching are so darn high, that I make less than $2.00 an hour, what's the point of doing it anymore?

He actually thought for a minute, and said, if that's what's happenning, then something treuely needs to be done at the State level to curb this. He actually had concern for small business owners, since small business put the majority of people nationwide to work.
