After digging a little on-line, I've determined that the 1:450 Akagi I have is not the Hasegawa kit here. The detail of the Hasegawa kit seems far better than the one I did, and I hope it comes together nicely.

My best ship is the 1:350 Enterprise done by Tamiya. It took me a year to do and is currently in storage while we try to sell the house. I have a series of 1:350 ships (my favorite scale) and am eager to do more.

But I MUST do the 1:72 Gato that Neal got at the Subsim meet. I've located the kit at a local dealer ($90) but have promised to finish a 1:350 Titanic for my wife first.

I have to ask how you all do weathering effects. I've never really gotten the hang of that.
