When my Dad passed away back in 87 on the Thanksgiving Holiday, I had to take the train home as no flights were available.
I got home Saturday morning two days after he passed. There had been a light snow that dusted the ground the night before. Mom, Sis, and Uncle picked me up at the station. They took me to my old home, where my best friend was waiting at the house incase anybody came by while everybody was out gathering me from the train station.
Anyways, Sis and my bro went to get a few things from the store, while Mom, and Uncle went to the Funeral Home for Dad's Funeral proceedings. I had taken a shower to clean up and got a shave. I then went down to my old room in the basement to change, and I had to wear one of Dad's suits as I had none of my own.
While I was getting ready for the viewing, I heard a loud knocking on the side window, so I went upstairs to see if someone was at the door, and all three dogs, two shepards, and little mop, were all looking at the side window, sitting like good pups, wagging their tails and no one was there. I went outside to see if some one was aeound the house as it late morning, and found footprints that were leading up the drive in the snow, to the side window, but did not backtrack to the sidewalk. The footprints on further observation were identical to Dad's cowboy boots. And it wasn't me as I wear a 12A, Dad wore 9 regular.
So I just figured Dad was making a visit to let me know he was ok.
