Irfanview and be happy. It's a wonderful little picture viewer program which can do things like batch conversions of file types.
The BMP files you're saving are 1MB+ in size which makes baby jeebus cry. This is sadly the default, but you can use ifranview to make them smaller. Good pics otherwise. heh :p
