Let me clear it up for you : nobody denies that free concerts and the like draw in people. What is denied is that seeing thousands of guys at a rally on TV would make much people turn their vote one way or the other. |
Maybe so, but why then does the media play off the estimated number of participants in the crowd? Perhaps to spark some interest as to why so many people are listening to the person on the stage? I believe it does spark an interest in why person X has drawn such a crowd. Once the individual investigates they are exposed to what is being said and the possiblity of becoming active is very real. Lemings to the sea effect.
