The exact accuracy is in the radar manual, off the top of my head, the 'A' Scope had a range resolution of 20 yards and the bearing accuracy was within 0.2 or 0.25 degrees. The actual way you read the range was to move the 'step' on the 'A' scope with a knob until the step met the pip - the knob would also change the digital range counter and was mounted on a seperate unit as Quagmire has posted. The large knob is the step adjuster and the small one labelled 'Counter Adj' is the zero for calibrating the range (from an echo from a large target).
