well, lets see:

A good enough CPU: $500

EDIT: It was ACTUALLY a new motherboard, and a 160 gigs HD, and a 500 Watts power supply after I accidentaly burned (adn I really mean BURNED) my old equipment... luckily after all this the P-IV processor was fine as was the video card and the secondary data HDisk... but let me tell you the meaning of horror... white tendrils of smoke coming out of your main hard disk...

more memory (two weeks later) $80

a nice video card $65 (offer in amazon)

an even nicer card $110

taxes paid to bring in country said cards $60

a new 19" LCD monitor $240

the game $25 in amazon...

books, movies and the like... priceless, they are interesting... any book I can get my hands on.. . having Clay Blair two opus magna by me... say $250 (but I think extremelly well spent)

high quality prints on color $40 of IJN ships silouettes

2 meter long printout of german type IX U-boat $10 - discovering wall not long enough embarasing

time spent on skype discussing upcoming war with both my excellent XO´s (one in Pearl, one in Manila).... abot 20 hrs during the last two weeks

So my friends, is it worth it?

you bet, Im so busy those two-three hours each night I dont make comments I might later regret on my beloved wife soap operas....
