Hi Lexandro, the grainy effect is part of the stock 'Post Processing' filters. The grainy effect was removed, as many people didn't like it, but like the other effects enabled with post processing. PE4 removes the grainy effect and keeps everything else enabled.
Some people though, like the grainy effect and want it to be re-enabled.
