Looks like EA is going to modify Spore's DRM. Apparently you will now be able to deactivate a computer and get that install back. There is no date given, but in the near future they will be releasing a patch that includes a tool of some sort. While not a lot better than before (if at all) I think it is a step in a promising direction (notice I didn't say right direction). I still detest the idea of install limits, albeit even if you can get them back. That still means you have to be connected to the Internet and I know some people don't have their gaming rigs online. It only makes sense really, and if I had a "beater" computer to take online, I wouldn't have my good one online. Anyway, here are a few sites that talk about the DRM modification.
