With SH3, you only had to get past the StarForce hurdle [always related to the type of CD-ROM mfg. you had] to install it and the game works even under Vista, today. Install/Reinstall all you want it ... works. My Vista rig with SH3 - Zero problems - play it off and on - I now prefer SH4 - Wolves of the Pacific.
But now, it seems like our EA buddies let you have three [3] installs .... and that is it! Buy the game again if you want a fourth install/reinstall.
Continuing my attitude to NEVER, EVER buy another EA game, EVER again.
Give Page 2 for a "look-see" - for the detailed info that YOU may want.

Best paragraph is the last one:
"So thanks, EA. Thanks for trying to put a stake in PC games—something I've loved for years and wrote about for over a decade. Thanks for nothing. "

Interesting article.
I found a related information which is probably not new to most of you - but it was to me - that 2k has removed DRM from Bioshock altogether:

So it turns out I was right with my feeling that all I'd have to do was to wait a year or two until the publisher has written off the game.
And I prefer to buy games a bit later anyway, it's cheaper, I have better hardware, and I get patches and mods.
I predict by next year publishers will try to back out of this, gamers fury is on the rise already and never underestimate that!
