This thread is full of win on a subject of fail. So many great posts.
My sister was actually interested in Spore, but decided not to purchase it because of all the horrible reviews about the DRM stuff. I think my favs are on amazon. It's hilarious that a popular site for ordering stuff online has this game rated so badly by so many people.
EA needs to get their **** together. It's absolutely pathetic that a game many people have been excited about for a long time is being given bad reviews and heralded as a POS mostly because of the DRM.
If I worked on the game, I would be pissed.
I don't really buy games or hardly anything off of ebay. So I don't know if that's a second hand sales problem. Honestly, I don't see the point in making so many customers angry just to stick it to a few individuals.
And remember folks, sharing is caring. When I was growing up, many kids borrowed and even traded video games with each other. If we had to deal with stuff like this, I don't think that would be possible. What is the big deal man. The person who wants to buy the game is going to buy the game. The person who doesn't/can't buy the game 'will not' buy the game. I guess a few too many people are ruining it for the rest of us.
Then again, there's that conspiracy about the concentrated effort to kill pc gaming.

yeah wtf lol. It Makes No Sense. This has to end. Personally, I even found it a little annoying just having to enter a long code when I install games. And I think most people have always been annoyed by disc checks. They just keep adding these hassles.
If only there could be a sweet compromise. Something so elegant and simple. Something that gives the businessmen peace of mind and doesn't bother customers.
