Yeah, that's one of the complaints several folks have had - the annoying habit of popping out right when you don't want it. I'm weird in a different way: I removed it so I could put it right back in again as part of FLB Sales' Simfeeling 6-Dials mod, which makes
all the guages into big slideouts. Before I found out about removing it I had TWO compasses doing that!
