At least Hurricane Gustav give Bush and Cheney a good excuse not to attend the GOP convention.

This can be a good thing as the less these two are seen, the better for the GOP.

Could McCain really survive an endorsement from Cheney?

I am sure the GOP was working on the problem of having Bush and Cheney at the convention but not seen with McCain. Thanks to Hurricane Gustav, now the problem is solved.
