Search parameters
I'm not sure if the search function in subsim is similar to Google-type searches or I just got lucky.
Anyhow, the following may be obvious but I've been surprised before by people not knowing how to best use search engines, so take this for what it's worth.
If you put your key words in quotes such as "torpedo speed" (with the quotations marks) then the search engine will look for that specific phrase (i.e. every occurence of the phrase torpedo speed). If on the other hand you type torpedo +speed (no quotation marks and a plus sign next to the word speed) then the search engine will look for every occurence of the word torpedo plus the occurence of the word speed in the same article (but the words may appear separately within the same article). There are various ways to use search engines, it takes a bit of practice.
Conversely you type in the word 'torp' (without quotes) and you should get every occurrence of words beginning with the first four letters t o r p (torpedo, torpedos, torpedoe, torpedoes, torpex etc ad naus). This, however, doesn't work with all search engines so you'll have to experiment. There is built-in assistance within the Advanced search feature of subsim.
