grey symbols for sunken ships can have following reasons:
- the final blow was done by the ai (subs/planes/hit the shoreline/run over wracks in swallow water, bumping against harbor installations)
- it was drowned in heavy wheather
- caused by saving and reloading the game shortly before or after the sinking but its still possible that it will be credited in the log inspite its grey
