Default My successful career ended at the bottom of the sea.

Never happened before. I died on Dec, 1939. Still pretty early in the war. I see a destroyer at long range. I dive and rig for silent running. Then it come all the way here to ping me. Any other time, a destroyer's depth charges is alway a miss. Some how this one here can score a hit everytime its passes. I sink to the bottom of the sea, which is only 40 m deep and fight the leak. But eventually the flooding get the better part of the ship and I am done. May be the destroyer has a new sonar. This is the first time I ever have to worry about depth charges. I can usually do my business in time compression while they ping blindly upstairs. Not to mention the struggle last for hours. I don't know what I did wrong.
