I got my first boat upgrade today since I began 1.5.
There were not enough crewmen available to fill all the slots. Only remaining available personel were officers, and I have my full complement of officer ranks. I had to sail without some departments being fully manned. Gunners were moved to help fill some watch slots.
This has to be unique to version 1.5 because all the other versions had a superabundance of hands of all ranks and ratings.
I'm liking this.
It seems more inline with what the realities of manning your boat ought to be.
Any advice on managing the shortages? All I did so far was move a few of my experienced hands to help out in the departments that are short of men. Anything I'm overlooking here?
