hadn't sent a contact report. Out of nowhere it seemed, the Luftwaffe just showed up & started beating up on the escorts!
I've never seen that happen before. I'm not "looking a gift horse in the mouth" though. They turned up at exactly the right moment when I
really needed a distraction.
Maybe Herrmann was actually doing his job that day...:hmm:
