I suggest you should read Wazoo tutorial which can be found here:
http://www.paulwasserman.net/SHIII/ Maybe there is sth newer than this but I was "brought up" on this and I get nice stats while sinking. Read it all and decide what method you prefer-if you decide that you install OLC you won't find this tutorial helpful- if you have any questions just ask
