When Windows first came out, I had no need for it and continued using DOS 6 up until I bought my seccond PC that came with Windows 95 on it.
It's funny. Back in those days, you had to buy DOS 6 and Windows separately and you needed DOS to run Windows. Each one was about $100.
In my opinion, DOS was a hell of a lot easier to use than Windows was (At least for me. For my father, it was a different ball game. If you had to learn a small handful of commands, he was DONE).
