I can't really imagine what you would make an iceberg sound like though. They wouldn't make too many noises besides random creaking and moaning, except when they break up.
Which brings up an interesting question... what would an iceberg sound like on a sonar ping return? It is just frozen water, so would it have any return? Sound can travel through it just they same. :hmm: |
Since the density of ice is (slightly) different than that of water, a sonarping would return just as it would when striking metal. Because of the slight difference, maybe it wouldn't be as loud as with metal, but it would return all the same.
