Reminds me of EAW stab
Ah now there was the best combat filght sim ever IMO! TK's masterpiece!
I hope this is of some help, lets say I have seven sound files that I would like to be randomized each time I start a new patrol, what I do is to place them into the following:
Random\0\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Random\1\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Random\2\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Random\3\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Random\4\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Random\5\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Random\6\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Random\7\Date\19390901\data\Sound\Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav
Each time I start a new patrol from the date shown it will randomly pick one of the files from 0 to 7, these folders can have any number of files, just place in the appropriate data\ folder. I think the date stays in force from that time on unless it encounters the same file/files with a later date, then that becomes active, but only within the random number (0 to 7 in example) chosen at the start of patrol, someone may correct me on this though!
Cheers.
