Well in reality renown was linked with tonnage or acts beyond the call of duty. Nevertheless the renown system in SH3 is rubbish in my opinion as it is directly linked with the upgrades you get and it is biased towards enemy warships instead of enemy merchants. |
Exactly, you can go out and sink an entire convoy with your IX or hit a task force and sink a BB and carrier, either way, you don't really get anything out of it.
