...my only :hmm: is the german crew member in picture #5, his under shirt with a nazi emblem looks like its printed on it rather than being a sewn on patch. i dont think they printed designs on soldiers uniforms or underwear like that during the war also it was my understanding that most sub crews were not staunch nazi supporters and didnt even like the nazi party much. for this reason, i believe they would be more inclined to favor a traditional cross style emblem over any nazi symbols. maybe others with more knowledge can confirm or dispute this.
