Great movie. I've got tht one on DVD. I also have:
Run Silent, Run Deep (can't have a fleet boat movie collection without that one)
Up Periscope (lots of great fleet boat footage around the deck and conning tower)
U-571 (yeah, OK, I know, but at least there's an S-boat, sort of...)
Hell Cats of the Navy (with Ronald Reagan)
Operation Pacific (staring the Duke)
My favorite? Probably a tie between Run Silent, Run Deep and Up Periscope. The skipper in Up Periscope is sort of an anti-hero, by the book man, and comes across as a real person trying to balance command responsibility and adherence to orders with the morale of his crew.
