you did a system restore and cant recover your career now?
Im guessing yoru career was saved at a later date than the newest system restore backdate and now it is unrecoverable.

im not sure if there is anything to be done other than launch a brand new shiny career
but... maybe there is some other PC saavy sould lurking here who can help you.
but it seems hopeless to me
