Once again nice sorties, even though the Poles didn't provide much resistance. Once again the biggest problem seemed to be good old mother earth. For some reason a 109 loses that battle EVERY TIME
Here's a short recap:
1st mission was CAP just above front lines near the town of Pltrqzxcvy-something, and things looked promising enough in the briefing. Some P.11 appeared after a short while, but with us + about 12 AI 109s in the area it was one huge furball with no telling who's who. Our guys drew first blood, and soon there was only one P.11 with the 12 AI 109s(that's how many I counted, there could have been more I didn't see) behind its tail. Us humans kept the distance to observe the results, and surprisingly enough no 109s went down in that engagement. I also saw two P.11s collide right under my nose at one point, so at least we're not the only ones doing the ramming
Landing went as usual, with a few disabled 109s scattered around the base.
2nd mission was to bomb a supply column and an airbase in HE-111s with one of us(Hunter?) flying escort in a 109. Everyone took their own 111(my first flight in the type), and at least for my part the result was hardly surprising: no damage to the target. Most of us were damaged by flak, but iirc only one or two didn't make it back to base. Worth mentioning is our escort making it back without a rudder
On landing Oberon played "chickens" with the rest of us in parked 111s, and neatly stopped about 2 meters from disaster
