The
Laconia incident and the fallout from it has always struck me as one of those historical events where an accurate account would be far more entertaining than any possible dramatization. Leaving aside any hysterical accusations of war crimes it is certainly a story worth telling. I'm pretty sure that Hollywood's hack writers would produce hyperbolic garbage (but with good fx and maybe Brad Pitt as KL Hartenstein

), perhaps this Alan Bleasdale can treat the story with balance and authenticity. Just my $0.02, adjusted for a fuel surcharge.
