I am dismayed that this post omits "Rules of Engagement" like "not shooting anyone who may later be identified as not being a terrorist" and " not searching Iraqi women as it might start an incident" which would be discriminatory against our infinitely superior senior officers. These men have spent tireless hours not learning anything useful about war so that they can fight the last war today. Senior American officers take great care to ensure that no soldier is killed in any way that said senior officer may be responsible for, thus depriving the U.S. Military of a new general.

We depend on these men to uphold our honourable tradition of letting the guys who are furthest away from the war decide how it should be carried out, because they went to college or kiss ass well. Were it left to the enlisted, we would probably just kill the bad guys or not even bother in the first place, leading to a decline in the number of generals, which, I am sure we all agree, would be unfortunate.

You sound bitter. Quit beating around the bush and tell us how you REALLY feel about it!
