Drum circles are a blast. They're social, they fill the void that's in me that yearns to perform music in public with a band (that I havn't done in ages), and they're great exercise !

Yeah.. I know...very hippy of me.

The funny thing is that I'm an ex-punk rocker from the 80's (I'm still into the punk stuff, but I no longer dress the part). Anyway, about 3/4 of the people I meet at drum circles are old punk rockers from the 70's and 80's. It seems that when punk rockers grow up, they join drum circles.

That is wild BL. When I was in New London in 78-82, there was a Punk Rock bar on Bank street. It was really a fun place. I forget the name of it. Saw the Joe Perry Project in Waterford. New England had a great Rock and roll vibe back then.
My friend ,Herb ,who was a nuke boy on a sub down there used to live in Willamantic right near there. They had a lot of nice little hole in the wall dives for those of us who enjoyed the punk music back then.
