Recently, there was a thread on crimes being carried out in the presence of witnesses who did not help, and this example is not a bit different. A society where people live whom are so indifferent like to be seen here should have other worries than mocking about the health system of it's neighbours. |
This seems like a typical liberal view to me. How, exactly can this be fixed? Pass a law that people have to care? I have no doubt that most people are most inclined to whatever action benefits them most. The key is harnessing that power through incentive. You can't legislate morality any more than you can legislate stupidity.
Tragic as it is, there will always be a$$holes.
