GWX can't allocate a particular grid to patrol, since you're out of the standard SH3 grid (or something like that). You'll just have to pretend.
If you're used to getting the extra renown for reaching your allocated grid, that's probably the only major drawback of choosing the eastern flotilla. ie, you won't get the "patrol grid for 24 hours" renown (since removed anyway from GWX2.0+). The only renown is for sinkings.
