Found it difficult myself to judge whether that was a foul or just the usual rumble within limits that happens in 1-1 situations all the time. Match commentator in German TV mentioned it, but also did not make a great thing of it - and that man is known to comment quite fair and unbiased.
So, I am not sure what to think of it. Anyhow, there have also been questionable decisions against Germany: the ban of the coach, and during the world championship 2006 the totally questionable ban of Frings before the match against Italy (that was lost by germany then). Such decisions come with every tournament. Scolari too it quite calm - if he saw a major issue I suppose he would have protested with more fury - he saw it and made according gesture, but again, quite calmly. |
