I just wasted a freighter about 100NM NW of the Bismarck Sea in the waters off New Guinea. The waste being three torpedoes. A torpedo hit her in the aft, but it was just superficial damage because of the propeller wake. I then tried to use my remaining aft torpedoes on her, but they all missed because of her weaving. So I stayed ahead of her and waited for the ship to let its guard down...then I struck. One torpedo to the bow, and then another amidships, causing a nice, rewarding explosion. :3
Update: Just finished my 5th and 6th patrols. Got a new sub, now. The
USS Balao, and with it I have access to the gun deck assignments now. (The Gato is bugged in this regard, I think)
Edit: The Deckgun ammo types are still glitched, I do not have the Armor Piercing icons visible, just a very small horizontal dash where it should be. Is there an image file missing for this or did a mod bork it?
